Desiree and I drove nearly four hours west. The rivers here flow to a different ocean than those outside the doors of our house. We are staying at Camp Tuffit on Lake Mary Ronan. Tall fir, pine, and Tamarack grow right down to the water’s edge and communication services are sketchy.
The idea is to fish for perch while
we are here. I will post when and if I can.

If you ever drive to Minneapolis, somewhere just inside the Minnesota border there is a sign designating the place where three continental divides come together. I stopped once to look at the sign by chance. One side has water flowing to the Gulf of Mexico, another side has water flowing to the Atlantic Ocean, and the third side flows into Hudson Bay. And I grew up thinking the Rocky Mountains were the only continental divide in the US. ‘Course it’s easy to see the Rocky Mountains as a divide. The divide in Minnesota is just a wide spot on flat land…
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of this place. You would imagine such a place to be a "dramatic" landscape. Maybe something along the lines of Triple-Divide Peak in Glacier National Park.
