Here is a list of my immediate needs this morning:
Freshly brewed coffee
A map of Montana
My hand-written journal from 2011
20 pounds of housecat at my feet
Two minutes to think about my grandfather, George
Drummond Bell
An apple
One more minute to think about my grandfather
—Mitchell Hegman
I have now completed a full year of hand writing a journal. It's still a bullet journal (modified note taking style) format but it's been interesting to page through to revisit even the most mundane commentary. I also have journals that are embarrassingly awful from my teenage and young adult years but I hang onto them for reasons that remain a mystery.
ReplyDeleteI have been keeping a journal since the age of nineteen. My early writings were often quite silly. But as my life changed, so did my journal. I have a bookshelf filled with journals now. I often grab one of the journals and glance through. I am glad I have them. At present, my blog is my journal. Keep writing your journal. Good stuff, that!
