I have been telling Desiree that some winter days are as beautiful as any spring or summer day. On such days, fresh snow paints the landscape with a palette of only white and deep blue. Fresh snow also softens and quiets the world from end to end. And when the full sun ascends high enough, a strange, deep warmth finds you.
Yesterday,
we experienced just such a stunning winter day.
The morning arrived blue but quickly whitened. When the sun finally cleared the mountains to
our east, sparkles danced across the untracked snow.
Once
the sun stood full above us, Desiree and I stepped outside and cleared snow
from the drive and danced around a little for ourselves.

DeleteInteresting cloud in the background. At first I thought it was the Matterhorn, but quickly realized it’s not in the Helena valley.
