Heterographs

Heterographs
Heterographs are words that sound the same but are spelled differently.  This morning, while reading about grammar (something I do on occasion because the struggle is real), I chanced upon an astounding set of heterographs:
Air – stuff we breathe
Heir – one who will inherit
Err – to make a mistake
Ere – eventually
E’er – contraction of “ever”
Are – 1/100th of a hectare
I don’t even want to begin touching on spelling here.  I'm still wondering around in the are.
