Whether or not the crow cawing in the maple tree outside our
window has damaged crops or overturned nearby garbage cans is no concern of
mine.

The crow in the maple tree is
conspicuous, insistent. The bird is in
my ear.

I read somewhere that crows can be
kind and will help injured brethren. I
have also read they are capable of murder without apparent motive. Many will gather to mob the weak.
Get out of our tree you stupid killer bird! I still want to go back to sleep.
