One of the aspects I most love about
a home remodeling project is that it promotes an acceptable level of bad
behavior. This has found particular expression in my work on the makeover of
our bathroom. We will soon be replacing the vanity, and I have, to be blunt,
been profoundly abusing it.
I have been using the vanity
countertop as a workspace for drilling, hammering, and sanding. It’s now my
preferred place for staging painting activities. Yesterday, I stomped all over
the vanity, casually dripping a little paint as I rolled color onto the upper
half of the wall.
This is good stuff, no matter how you
cut it.
