We Are Not Whole

Though we are cast a single entity, we are not whole.  Something is missing from each of us.  Here, someone lacking empathy.  There, a man without an arm.  Too many lack a sense of humor.  We become a whole only as a mob set to track down and slay a beast; or to assemble a building; or to simply share warmth.
We unify to share our empathy, our arms, our humor, and so much more.
Those remaining alone are soon trampled by this mob or that.  They tumble along, gradually getting jostled apart—like cinders expelled by the flames of a fire.

  1. Universal Love unifies all of us through that part of us that is noble. But that is not a constant. Duality exists in the whole universe after all. So we are also in a constant state of separation from Universal Love whenever we consciously or unconsciously allow the least of us to trump the best of us. It is nearly an eternal struggle to evolve and it can continue through time zones. That is oart of my world view as I continue to make sense of it all.

  2. It's complicated. That much is certain. But I do think we need each other. Sadly (and I do believe this) I fear some of us only thrive by joining together to "kill a beast." Others join in for better things. Only one thing is clear, nature abhors a singularity.
