I love tulips - in Illinois as a kid, my Dad would plant the entire back yard with tulip bulbs, tend to them, then dig them up in the Fall after blooming, seperate the new bulbs for more next year, keeping the bulbs in brown paper bags, all labeled by color & type in the basement over the winter.
