In the near perfection of
mid-morning, we sliced through the becalmed waters of Hauser Lake in our boat,
on a quest. The objective? To find a place where still water repeats the
mountains of stone and trees in lightly wavering reflections.
And we found just that place—where
the mountains converge to express themselves in cliffs and talus slopes. There,
with all mechanical contrivances silenced, we drifted into the replication of
morning’s best face.
