Posted is a photograph of the winter sun burning through early morning fog and frost on the open prairie near my house.

  1. I've concluded that winter in Montana (or especially your part of Montana) isn't so bad compared to winter in other places. I've seen blue skies and shining sun in winter over there in contrast to other places where winter is mostly dark clouds and snow -- depressing.

  2. I agree, Ariel Murphy. Our open basins fill with sunlight during many of the winter days and the mountains stand white and blue.
