On a trip to the cabin yesterday, for the purpose of applying a finishing
coat to the circular-sawn flooring I installed, I came across two herds of elk. One small group, less than a mile from my
cabin, ghosted away into the trees shortly after I captured photographs. I spotted a larger herd slowly grazing across
a meadow not far from Lincoln.
