Grasped by the Moon

I captured this image of the Moon reaching across Lake Helena while driving to work early one morning in May of 2010.

  1. There is something consistent in my reaction to great works of art. When I first saw La Giaconda at the Lourve and Nachtwacht at the Rijks I was magnetized to the point where all I wanted to do was look and look snd look. This photo has that touching and absorbing quality. It must even be more powerful up close and personal! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Thank you, Ariel Murphy! I originally tried to describe how I felt about the photo--I find a surreal quality about it--but I decided to allow this photo to speak for itself. I really like this one!
