Sometimes, I make
gestures for no other reason than to make nice.
I did that just the other day by purchasing a fairly expensive bottle of
Scotch. My thinking on this is that I might
share a bit of Scotch with someone if they drop by my house.
And, if nobody
stops in, there is nothing wrong with being nice to myself in a “collateral”
fashion by having a sip.
