In the future, golf club manufacturers will develop
biodegradable putters that will sell in six-packs. The putters will be manufactured with angry
golfers in mind. If thrown into water
hazards, the putters will harmlessly disintegrate. If flung out into the rough, the putters will
rapidly biodegrade and disperse embedded poppy flower seeds. As poppies begin to flourish around some of
the tougher holes on golf courses, the approach to a difficult hole will become
known as a “poppy row.”
