Things I Have Learned (Often the Hard Way)

  • Arrogance is not a valid substitute for anything.
  • Hitting yourself in the head with a hammer is not only dumb, it hurts for a long time.
  • One smiley face can make a difference.
  • There is not a suitcase big enough.
  • You can’t be appropriate all of the time and get where you want to go.
  • Grief has no expiration date.
